Os astros alinharam-se, a lua estava em quarto crescente e a famosa hora pequenina não foi exageradamente grande para um Pai hipocondríaco.
Nunca confirmei a minha presença na sala de parto. Sempre duvidei de mim, mas consegui desafiar-me e juntos cumprimos com êxito o nosso primeiro trabalho de equipa. Assisti e ajudei a separar Mãe e Filho num dos momentos mais lindos da minha vida. Chegaste pelas 19h31 às nossas vidas.
Começou naquele momento, o desafio de sermos Pais!
Não consigo deixar de agradecer a todos os que tiveram connosco em pensamento a fazer aquela força extra. À nossa família e a todos os nossos amigos que desejavam tanto como nós a chegada do nosso Vasquinho.
Por ser tudo novo, por estar fraco, sensível, algumas palavras e ações bateram forte no meu coração apertado.
Nesse dia, tivemos uma “velinha” sempre acesa para nos guiar, lembras-te João Pedro?
Nesse dia recebi um SMS que guardei com muito carinho, dizia assim:
“Ser Pai e Mãe é a melhor e mais assustadora coisa do mundo.”, lembras-te Olívia?
Nesse dia, mesmo sabendo que não podiam ver o Vasco e a Rita, correram para o Hospital e deram-me um abraço apertado. Lembram-se Paula e Fernando?
Nesse dia, dois “malucos” e a Rita “Pequena”, fizeram mais de 400 Km para ver a grande amiga Rita “Grande”. Lembram-se Xana e Pedro?
Nesse dia e nos dias seguintes, tivemos sempre a visita de uma Enfermeira “intrusa” que devia estar a trabalhar na Cirurgia 1, mas não deixava de nos visitar à socapa dando força aos pais perdidos em dúvidas e incertezas. Lembras-te Carla?
Nesse dia e em todos os outros, tivemos sempre os avós! Os de perto, os de longe que foram e têm sido uma ajuda quase impossível de descrever e impossível de agradecer.
Estão sempre perto mesmo os que estão longe. Têm paciência para nos aturar em dias mais complicados, em momentos difíceis, em alturas em que estamos cansados e fracos. São eles, os Avós, os “Pais ao quadrado”, que nos acalmam, nos orientam e nos dão aquela preciosa ajuda.
Estamos a enfrentar este desafio pela primeira vez, percurso que eles já passaram connosco. Por muito que o tempo mude… a sabedoria e a sensibilidade deles não pode se ignorada. Um Obrigado do Algarve à Poutena.
Eu não me esqueço de vocês, não me esqueço do que fizeram e serei sempre grato pela atenção e carinho que tiveram para connosco. Farei questão que o Vasco saiba que vocês todos são especiais para ele.
